Traditionally, we have held an alumni/undergraduate work weekend at the annual State College Arts Festival. However, with anticipated renovations being in process this summer, there is both no point and no easy way to do so. Instead, we have decided to have the first annual Sig Ep Penn Eta Arts Fest Barbecue at the chapter house.
We will be able to clear the parking lot at the house--so if any alumni are planning on attending the event, you are all welcome to park at the house in the parking lot. In addition, we recently renovated the barbecue pit built by the undergraduates in the early 1990s. Jim Edwards '78, Norm Monack '81, and Tyler Setcavage '13 repaired the brick work and build a new support for the new grill, constructed by Dave Balshukat '86.
The alumni corporation will provide food and beverages for the event. Any alumnus is welcome to stop by with friends and family, and enjoy some rest at the house after a busy day of wandering through the Arts Festival on Saturday, July 16. Local alumni and some members of the board will be at the house from about 10:00 a.m. until dark to host the event.
If any alumni have plans to come at another time, or have any other suggestions for the event, please contact Jim Edwards at email@example.com or (814) 883-0640.
